 where to get best place to get good deals on flights/hotels?

...i have looked at this website, it lists the most popular flight, holiday and hotel destinations. It has resort information and has a search feature to find the latest deals on offers.
are sites like these the best place to get good deals or does anyone have any recommendations?
Basically i wish to find a good deal on a flight from the UK and a hotel in malaga somewhere... any recommendations on airlines and hotels would be great!
also where would be the best place to stay during the winter months (i.e. November)?
